One of the most common questions I get asked is, what is the difference between a split system and a single system hot water system?
Another way to put it would be, what is the difference between a Chromagen and an Ecogenica, or a Chromagen and an eco alliance system?
Aside from the obvious physical differences, the systems differ enormously in their efficiency.
Ecogenica boasts a COP (Coefficient of Performance) of 4.8, meaning it is 4.8x more efficient than a standard electric. Chromagen has a COP of only 3.76. This means Ecogenica is about 30% more efficient than Chromagen units.
But the differences don’t stop there. The warranties between both units are vastly different. Ecogenica boasts a warranty of 7 years on the tank and 5 years on the compressor. This is the longest possible warranty in the government scheme. Chromagen only has a 5 year warranty on the tank and 3 on the compressor.
If you’re looking for the most efficient, best quality system in the government scheme, look no further than installing an Ecogenica system with us.
